Hi, I'm Dave, with over 2,000 dives in over 50 countries, I've dove most of the popular diving locations as well as many unique and exotic locations. Hopefully my Top Ten lists will give you some ideas for your next dive travel adventure!!.... but talk to other divers about where they went....read write-ups in the diving magazines.....and travel guides such as the "Lonely Planet" guides are a wealth of information. Planning a trip can be fun and exciting.....enjoy!!!

Hi, wrecks are my passion, I have searched the world for the most exciting wreck dives and have visited more than 800 wrecks of those amazing pieces of history....ships....planes.....and now my top ten wreck diving locations.
....and starting with number 10....
10)British Columbia
.....COLD....okay, if that didn't scare you, then you have a great wreck diving destination with lots of huge wrecks to choose from, also some beautiful topside scenery....don't forget that dry-suit!!
9)Florida Keys
.....an great selection of wrecks, and with their artifical reef programs there are more all the time.
8)Grenada
.....Bianca C.....even though there are many other shipwrecks there, just diving the ill-fated cruise ship is worth the trip!!
7)North Carolina
.....centuries of wrecks here as well, a bit far offshore on some of them, but close to home.
6)Aruba
.....a nice variety of shipwrecks and plane wrecks, not to mention some really nice beaches.
5)Virgin Islands(British & U.S.)
.....I put them together because they overlap, and can both be done on one dive trip. Some great wrecks here, Rhone being the signature wreck, some beautiful topside scenery as well, St. John U.S.V.I. in particular.
4)Palau, Micronesia
.....a great selection of WWII wrecks, should be rated higher, BUT, getting the dive operators off the reef and to the wrecks is not an easy task!!! Also, the mushroom islands of Palau are stunning!!
3)Red Sea(Egypt)
.....a nice variety of wrecks, with the Thistlegorm being the signature wreck there.
2)Bermuda
.....centuries of shipwrecks, combined with some of the most beautiful top-side scenery anywhere!!!
1)Truk (Chuuk)Lagoon, Micronesia
.....the mecca for serious wreck divers....even though they changed there name from Truk to Chuuk, every wreck diver I know still refers to it as Truk!!! As a wreck diving location I can't say enough about this place....almost any wreck here would be the signature wreck in any other country, but in Truk you have it all right here, a fleet of intact wrecks littered with artifacts....if you are into wrecks this is a MUST....you will be amazed!!
